A mainly dry and bright start, although the odd shower possible. Clouding over for a time with some heavy rain, but brightening up from the west again through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

A scattering of showers at first this evening, but mainly dry with clearing skies. However, cloud thickening from the west later in the night, some patchy rain by dawn. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Thursday:

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, occasionally heavy. The best of any drier, brighter conditions through Moray and northern Aberdeenshire. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Often wet through the period and breezy on Friday. The best of any drier weather across Aberdeen and the east.

A dry and warm start to Sunday in the south with sunny periods, however in the north it will be much cooler with outbreaks of sporadic rain. How long this warmer spell will remain for southern areas is uncertain, but temperatures will likely decrease into the start of next week. Rain and wind probable to remain in the northwest, perhaps spreading further southeast at times. Later next week further spells of wind and rain are possible, but perhaps generally drier in the south and east. A chance of coastal gales at times, as would be expected for the time of year. Temperatures likely remaining close to average, with a low chance in the south that very warm air could linger for a time.

An unsettled start to the period, with potentially a wetter than average spell, but still with some drier interludes between periods of rain. Gales or severe gales possible at times, but no more than expected for the time of year. Later in the period there is a possibility that longer settled periods may develop, along with an enhanced risk of overnight fog. Temperatures likely milder than average overall with reduced risk of overnight frost.
