Thursday:

A dry bright morning with some sunny spells. Clouding over in the afternoon with a few patches of rain spreading north, turning heavier at night. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloudy with rain at times Friday, brightening up with heavy showers later. The weekend unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, but some sunshine too.

At first, the weather across the UK is likely to continue to be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, with some longer spells of rain also possible.
