Another changeable day, with a mixture of sunny spells and showers. By the afternoon, more prolonged spells of sunshine across the region. Slightly warmer, and not as windy as today. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

A cold and locally frosty start on Friday, becoming dry with sunny spells. Warmer for the weekend with sunny spells for many, though patchy rain overnight on Saturday into Sunday.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy in places, are expected to affect some northern areas at the start of this period. Further south, it is likely to be dry with spells of sunshine. Temperatures will mainly be close to average for the time of year.
