Mainly dry in the morning, rain reaching the Argyll coast by late morning. Windy in the afternoon with occasional rain across Central Belt and South, persistent and heavy across Argyll, likely that most of Ayrshire will remain dry until later. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

A windy night with persistent rain in the north, patchier at first over Ayrshire and Glasgow but reaching all parts later in the night. Rain clearing the north by dawn. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday:

Winds turning westerly and cloud clearing to leave a bright day with a few showers in the west. Quite pleasant in the afternoon in the sunshine and lighter winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

An Autumnal theme with wet and windy conditions on Wednesday, possibly very windy for a time. Turning cooler with blustery showers for the end of the week.
