It will be mostly dry on Monday with sunny spells, particularly during the morning. High level cloud will gradually increase during the afternoon as winds strengthen later in the day. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

Dry for much of the night with some clear intervals. However, cloud will thicken during the early hours of Tuesday with light and patchy rain affecting Cumbria. Rather windy too. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday:

Windy on Tuesday morning as a band of rain moves southwards, the rain locally heavy. A little brightness developing during the afternoon, although further showery outbreaks of rain also arriving. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Very windy with coastal gales on Wednesday as a band of heavy rain pushes quickly south. Sunny spells and blustery showers following for Thursday and Friday. Generally mild.
