Largely dry with clear spells in the west, but cloudier in north and east, with thickening cloud bringing risk of patchy rain. Light, mainly east or southeast winds, Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Thursday:

Cloudy start in north and east with perhaps some patchy rain, but brighter by the afternoon. Dry and warm in west with long spells of sunshine. Still light southeast winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Mainly dry on Friday and Saturday, with some warm sunshine , but cloudier at times across the east and north and also breezier. Cloudy on Sunday with some heavy showers developing.

Later, most likely plenty of fine and settled weather with sunny and clear conditions for many parts. Likely to be warmer than normal for much of the UK. Risk of showers, possibly heavy and thundery, especially in southern parts.
