Largely dry this evening before outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, spread northeastwards across all parts overnight. Probably becoming windy, especially along the south coast. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Sunday:

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain during the morning, gradually clearing away southeastwards. Becoming drier, with some sunny spells developing in the afternoon. Perhaps a few scattered light showers. Feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Monday frosty to start in places, then dry with light winds and bright intervals. Tuesday early frost then rain spreading east. Wednesday becoming cloudy, milder, with rain arriving later.

This theme is predicted to continue, with southern and eastern areas likely drier, although a chance of showers or rain remains here. A continued risk of strong winds, with a low risk of gales, mainly in the west. Temperatures are expected to be generally above normal, although colder conditions may linger in the far north and northeast.

A general trend to less unsettled conditions is likely into April. Still some wetter weather at times, tending towards the south. However, most areas are likely to see some spells of dry weather, with potentially frost and some fog overnight. A possibility of strong winds at times, with temperatures generally close to average for the time of year.
