UK long range weather forecast

Thursday is predicted to be a day of sunny spells and showers for most, with some more prolonged cloud and rain expected in the southeast at first along with some drizzly rain across parts of Scotland. These showers may be locally heavy, with thunderstorms possible. Ending the week and into the weekend, conditions likely remaining unsettled with showers or rain for many, also likely windy with a risk of coastal gales. This theme is predicted to continue, with southern and eastern areas likely drier, although a chance of showers or rain remains here. A continued risk of strong winds, with a low risk of gales, mainly in the west. Temperatures are expected to be generally above normal, although colder conditions may linger in the far north and northeast.

Updated:

A general trend to less unsettled conditions is likely into April. Still some wetter weather at times, tending towards the south. However, most areas are likely to see some spells of dry weather, with potentially frost and some fog overnight. A possibility of strong winds at times, with temperatures generally close to average for the time of year.
