Mainly cloudy and misty with patchy rain and haar. The rain will turn more persistent and heavier in the afternoon, especially over Shetland. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A few showers on Tuesday then mainly dry with bright spells on Wednesday and Thursday. Some patchy haar possible at times.

Temperatures will be near to or slightly below average, though with the formation of overnight frosts becoming unlikely.
