UK long range weather forecast

This period is likely to be characterised by unsettled weather with showers and longer periods of rain for most areas. Largely a dry, cloudy Tuesday for all with the chance of patchy rain developing over the northwest later in the day. For the remainder of the period, further bands of rain are expected across the country with drier spells between them. Overall the west and northwest seeing the heaviest and most frequent rain, whilst the east will experience more dry sunny spells. Rain is likely to be accompanied by strong winds with a risk of gales in exposed regions of the northwest throughout. Temperatures generally near normal, with the occasional cooler night bringing the chance of mist and fog in places.

Updated:

Changeable conditions are expected to continue throughout the period, with bands of rain and showers likely across most of the country. Temperatures are likely to remain near to normal overall throughout. However, there is an increasing chance of some more settled weather from late October, although it may also be accompanied by colder conditions with mist or fog and frost.
